What CredoCalc is

CredoCalc (www.credocalc.com) is an independent website of calculators for mortgages and home loans, EMIs, savings, retirement, GST and income tax on gifts. It is run by Khagen Patel and funded by advertising. Every calculator is free and runs in your web browser: there are no accounts, no forms and nothing to download.

What CredoCalc is not

  • Not a lender. We are not a bank, an NBFC, a loan agent or a loan marketplace. We don't lend, arrange or approve loans.
  • Not an app. We don't currently publish any mobile app on Google Play or the App Store.
  • Not connected to any loan app, including apps with similar-sounding names such as "Credit Calc Online".
  • Never in touch first. We don't call, SMS or WhatsApp anyone, and we never ask for payments, processing fees, OTPs, passwords, Aadhaar, PAN, bank details, photos or access to your contacts.

Why some search results get this wrong

Automated summaries in search results sometimes mix up websites and apps with similar names. Some have confused CredoCalc with unrelated loan apps. This page sets out the facts. If you see CredoCalc described as a lender or a loan app anywhere, it is mistaken.

If someone claims to be CredoCalc

Anyone offering you a loan, asking for a fee or asking for documents in CredoCalc's name is not us. Please email [email protected] with what you saw, so we can report it.

If a loan app is pressuring you (India)

  • Don't pay a "processing fee" up front to get a loan approved, and don't share OTPs.
  • A genuine digital loan comes from a bank or NBFC regulated by the Reserve Bank of India, and the app should name that lender.
  • Report unauthorised lending apps on the RBI's Sachet portal.
  • For fraud, threats or harassment, report on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal or call 1930.

Outside India, contact your local police and your country's financial regulator.
